Hahn Family Wines

Hahn Family Wines, formally known as Hahn Estates, produce a range of wines from five vineyards located in the Santa Lucia Highlands and Monterey County appellations. This region boasts the most varied climatic conditions of any region in California and produces fruit with exceptional varietal intensity, flavour, depth and structure.

Hahn Family Wines is owned and operated by Nicky Hahn and his wife Gaby who moved to Monterey in the mid 1970’s. They now produce 400,000 cases of wine per year making them the fifth largest producer by volume amongst America’s family owned private wineries. They purchased the Smith & Hook Winery in 1980, laying the groundwork for their long-term commitment to bring out the potential of Monterey. With their prime location in the Santa Lucia Highlands overlooking the Salinas Valley, these ranches turned vineyards presented ideal weather conditions for growing premium varietal fruit.
