Logan is a family owned and operated business with an emphasis on cool climate quality wines from Orange and Mudgee in the Central Ranges of NSW, Australia.

Peter Logan, Chief Winemaker at Logan studied Oenology at the University of Adelaide in South Australia. Soon after completing his studies and after completing a few vintages in the Hunter region, Peter set out to create his own label and looked to the high altitude regions of Orange and Mudgee.

Orange, NSW is a cold climate region. The Logan vineyards here range from 850 to 1050 metres above sea level on rich volcanic soils, while the Mudgee vineyards are at a slightly lower 600 metres altitude where the temperature is somewhat milder. The climate of these neighbouring regions makes the area ideal for producing wines which reflect Peter’s winemaking philosophy - to combine soft, rich Australian fruit character with an elegance, structure and savouriness more common in European wines.
