
Mount Riley is a family owned and operated Marlborough winemaker. They pride themselves on making some of the best wines New Zealand has to offer. This is made possible through their earth-to-glass approach and the strength and talent of their people.
Mount Riley’s people are involved at every stage – from grape growing to winemaking and then taking their wines out to the world. John Buchanan, Mount Riley’s founder, planted their first vines in 1992. John’s youngest daughter Amy joined Mount Riley in a sales and marketing role in 2004 and Amy’s husband Matt Murphy became Mount Riley’s senior winemaker in 2008. Matt and his team capture the essence of Marlborough in each vintage and each of Mount Riley’s wines have great fruit purity and clarity - they’re as representative of Marlborough as the mountain of Mt Riley itself!
