We’ve had loads of tastings in the office which really prepared me, but showing, tasting wines and catching the attention of people at the same time was harder than what I had expected. This time, I was asked to help support the tasting and the stand we ran at Lord’s in front of the Cricket Ground to show people all our range from Valle de La Puerta. The exhibition place was very shiney and full of winemakers & sellers, a kind of exhibition I never saw before.
We’re showing for the first time the Las Olas Reserva as we announced two weeks ago on our blog “Las Olas Reserva revealed at WOA Tasting in London” and this was a real success! That was the first time I tasted it and have to say I really liked the flavours of ripened plum and cherry it showed. To view all the wines from Valle de La Puerta that we’re importing, click here.
Then as a French person I didn’t know Lord's was the 'Home of Cricket' and the game's spiritual 'headquarters' in London. So as the sun shone the whole day, while showing people our Argentine wine range, I had the chance for the first time to watch cricket, which was amazing!
The Champions' League Twenty20 which is one of the main international cricket tournaments in the world kicked off last week at the same moment and sees teams from all the continents competing for the trophy. Among those countries are Australia and South Africa, both from which we're importing wines. We hope then one of these two countries will win so we'll be able to introduce you new wines from our 2011 range.
